Molten, the world’s largest manufacturer of footballs, is to sponsor the Wessex Football League and the Molten Vantaggio FVA-5000A football has been appointed as the League’s official ball.
Molten is to sponsor the League for the next three seasons commencing August 2009 up to May 2012. The sponsorship includes a substantial supply of the FIFA Approved, Molten FVA-5000A football which is to become the League’s official ball for all Divisions. In addition, each month, Molten will be making an award to the League’s Team of the Month.
Unlike all other makes of football, which are produced using the traditional method of hand-stitching, the Molten FVA-5000A is manufactured using state-of-the-art, Molten-patented ACENTEC technology. This ground-breaking, cross-fusion bonding technique eliminates old-fashioned stitching and stitch holes. The result is a ball that does not absorb water in wet weather conditions maintaining a constant weight and shape throughout the game.
Not only this, the absence of hand-stitched seams produces a football with a smooth and even surface, preventing mud from adhering to the ball and making for a perfectly balanced and round ball and one that can be controlled as easily in wet weather as in dry weather In addition, the ball loses little of its pressure after use. This new Molten technology has been shown to improve shooting and passing accuracy by a staggering 220%* when compared with other FIFA Approved hand-stitched footballs.

We have come to the end of our previous agreement with another supplier and have been testing the Molten Vantaggio FVA-5000A since February. Prior to our decision we also contacted the Kent Football League and the Molten Spartan South Midlands Football League, who have been using the same Molten ball for the past three years, and they both gave glowing reports about the quality of the ball. The upshot was that our committee was unanimous in their nomination of the Molten Vantaggio FVA-5000A as the League’s official match ball for the next three years.”
